Extra curricular activitiesSince we are aware of the benefits of sports and other physical workouts we encourage students to voluntarily participate in sports of their desire. Moreover sports instill discipline and team spirit in the players which indirectly gets reflected in their engagement with the peer group and teachers in the class.

Silambam helps in conditioning the body for the training itself. This includes improving flexibility, agility, hand-eye coordination, kinesthetic awareness, balance, strength, speed, muscular endurance, and cardiovascular stamina. It enhances snychronisation, concentraion and flexibility.

Karate:
Karate enables in getting more active. Students will learn to find focus and stillness. They will learn to take hits. They will gain self confidence and self respect. They will connect their mind and body.

Dancing allows one to express oneself. A sense of unity is found within the dance. Dancing provides physical/mental refreshment and relaxation. Dancing provides a lot of entertainment. Dancing is a form of exercise.

Yoga helps to increase flexibility and muscle strength & tone. It enables improved respiration, energy and vitality. It helps in maintaining a balanced metabolism and weight reduction. It improves Cardio and circulatory health and Improved athletic performance.

Vocal
Vocal training helps underpin and maintain our well-being and happiness. It is fundamentally enriching. Singing helps to balance metabolism. Singing also encourages you to strive to improve your health by enhancing your awareness of your body.singing gives you a ‘molecular massage’. Singing resonates your very core, promoting detoxification at a ‘sub-atomic’ level. Singing improves your reading skills and your motor skills, by developing the coordination between your brain and your body. Singing helps to calm negative unhelpful thoughts.

Instrumental Music

Instrumental Music helps in increasing memory. Refines time management and organizational skills. Boosts team skills, Teaches perseverance, Enhances coordination , betters mathematical ability.

Band is a group effort which focuses on group goals and the completion of those goals in each and every rehearsal and performance. Band reinforces the skills of cooperation which are among the qualities most highly valued in business and industry, especially in high-tech contexts. Being a member of a band requires to shift from an I/Me focus to a We/Us focus. Instead of the logic being, “what’s in it for me,” it becomes, “what’s in it for us?”  It helps in To learn pattern recognition and constructive imagination and curiosity. Helps to improve snychronization and develop self-confidence. Gives the benefit of team work and coordination.
